R&B singer Usher doesn’t have to worry about losing $20 million anymore. New reports claim the crooner is out of a hot situation from a publicized herpes case.
According to reports, one of Usher’s alleged victims had her lawsuit dismissed against him.
Laura Helm filed a $20 million lawsuit against the singer, claiming he had unprotected sex with her and transmitted the disease. She had a problem — she told someone on a recorded phone call 2 days before the suit was filed that she only had protected sex with Usher. Helm’s lawyer withdrew from the case and Helm got a new attorney, who immediately filed legal docs to dismiss the case. It is, however, dismissed without prejudice, “with intent to refile.” It’s unclear why her lawyer made the move to dismiss. (TMZ)
In August, Usher herpes accuser Quantasia Sharpton publicly revealed receiving multiple death threats since accusing the singer of a sexual encounter.
Over the summer, producer Jermaine “JD” Dupri revealed in-studio footage of himself and Ush.
Recently, West Coast rapper Game came to Usher’s defense amid the Internet blowing him up with trolling.
“What people need to realize is, people need to stop worrying about other people’s lives. Most of the people out here talking sh*t and all this sh*t, they probably got herpes too. It is what is is. I ain’t saying Usher’s got this or he got that. Get off his nuts. Literally.” (TMZ)
