Skrillex hints at possible new project with The Chainsmokers on Twitter

Skrillex may have just dropped a huge hint at the next big movement in his spectrum-spanning production bender in 2017. It’s no secret that following a somewhat awkward forced hiatus on the Jack Ü project, for reasons not entirely clear, Skrillex has set his sights on a number of collaborations, both rumored and confirmed this year. From co-producing Inbucus’ new album to rumored collaborations with Jennifer Lopez and Fifth Harmony, Skrillex has been diversifying his portfolio all year long. Now, he’s taken to Twitter to cryptically tease a new potential project with The Chainsmokers.

The name, Hack Ü, appears to be a play on Sonny’s former bromance banger machine alongside Diplo, and it seems as though the “#Selfie” visionaries are ready to pick up with Skrillex where Wes left off.

No official word on if or when the collaboration will actually come to fruition, but with festival season in full swing, Hack Ü may surprise fans in some unexpected places along the summer event circuit.

Happy April Fools’ Day, from your friends at Dancing Astronaut.
