Mixmag and Smirnoff launch all-new mentorship program for the 2017 Smirnoff Sound Collective

Mixmag and Smirnoff are teaming up for their most ambitious collaboration yet — the 2017 Smirnoff Sound Collective.

Since its start in 2014, the Smirnoff Sound Collective has inspired a more inclusive world through electronic music. Launching this evening in Brooklyn, the 2017 mentorship program aims to bring up-and-coming artists from all genders, races, and genres together to provide them a platform for their music and message. A collection of accomplished artists and industry mentors from all walks of life, backgrounds, orientations, and identities will be performing and speaking as part of the year long series that seeks to take a stand against exclusivity and the lack of diversity in electronic music.

Tonight’s launch event from National Sawdust in Williamsburg, Brooklyn will include a live streamed performance from Gina Turner via Dancing Astronaut’s Facebook page.

Tune in here.
