Yachty went to Twitter Thursday (March 30) to boast about K. Dot’s must-see clip.
Less than a week after delivering his “The Heart Part Four” single, Lamar has blessed fans with his new “Humble” single and visual.
The song, less exploration of contrition on the part of Lamar than an instruction to his peers, picks up a thread NPR Music first examined following that album teaser: how the “best rapper alive” might explore the theme of God, religion and personal growth. (In the previous non-album single, “The Heart Part 4,” Lamar stuck to a similar narrative: “Tell ’em that God comin’.”) (NPR)
Atlanta hitmaker Mike WiLL Made It is responsible for Lamar’s new banger.
The new song was produced by Mike WiLL Made-It. “Humble” follows Kendrick’s “The Heart Part 4,” released last week. His last studio album, To Pimp a Butterfly, was released in 2015. (Last year, he released the compilation untitled unmastered.) Watch the new video below, and check out the cover artwork for the song as well, which uses the first shot of the video with Kendrick in religious garb. (Pitchfork)
