Kaytranada sings on Kendrick Lamar’s new album ‘DAMN.’

The ninth track “Lust,” featured on Kendrick Lamar‘s forthcoming album DAMN., gets a dose of Canadian flair from the likes of Kaytranada and BADBADNOTGOOD. The latter, a Juno Award winning jazz quartet from Toronto, announced their involvement via Twitter. The group notably shouted out Kaytranada with vocal credits rather than his usual forte for production.

In a since deleted tweet, the Montreal producer confirmed he’d be singing in auto-tune on the track. With a recent win at the Juno Awards for Electronic Album of the Year and a newly minted slot at the upcoming tenth edition of Outside Lands, 2017 is shaping up to be an explosive year for Kaytranada.

DAMN. is Kendrick Lamar’s fourth studio album, following his Grammy winning record To Pimp A Butterfly. The Compton rapper’s new work, featuring production credits from a not-so-mysterious J. Blake, is due to be released on April 14. Catch both Kaytranada and Kendrick Lamar at Coachella this weekend, and stay tuned for DAMN. on Friday.
