Jay Z is still securing hefty sized bags. The Hip-Hop mogul has inked a new 1o-year deal with Live Nation worth a reported $200M.
According to Variety, Hova just inked the decade-long deal with the concert company. This a re-up from his last deal with Live Nation.
“Live Nation and I entered unchartered territory in 2008,” said Jay Z via a press statement. “Over nine years, we have traveled the world producing historic music experiences. [Live Nation president and chief executive officer] Michael Rapino is an industry visionary, and this renewed partnership is a testament to our longstanding relationship and the talented individuals at Live Nation. For the next 10 years, we will continue redefining the live event landscape.”
While it’s been a minute since his last album, 2013’s Magna Carta… Holy Grail, fans will get the opportunity to see a lot of the Jigga Man in the coming months. Besides headlining his own Made In America Festival in Philadelphia over Labor Day Weekend, he is also set to perform at the Meadows Festival in mid-September and the Austin City Limits Festival in October.
All this, of course, has bred speculation that a new Jay Z album is in the works. Also, Forbes named Jay Z and Diddy topped their wealthiest Hip-Hop artists list, but the former may have slid ahead with this news.
