With Brazil’s annual Carnival well underway, the week-long Mardi Gras of the southern hemisphere continues to unravel throughout the country, most notably in Rio de Janeiro, Bahia, Pernambuco and Sao Paulo. From hundreds of block parades to local music to a wide variety of costumed men and women, Carnival is the tradition of celebrating and indulging the day before Lent begins.
In honor of the annual festival, local dance music fans can satiate their palates at Brazil’s first-ever sunset club, Laroc Club. Well equipped with a lounge, bungalows, a swimming pool and a towering main stage, the 6,000-capacity mega-club is celebrating Carnival in style with top-shelf talent Claptone and Galantis, respectively. Tickets to both parties can be purchased here.
