‘Armed and Dangerous’ suspect arrested at Miami’s Fontainebleau after lockdown

Miami Music Week is evidently off to a rocky start. Famed hotel Fontainebleau, a temporary residence for a good portion of the week’s revelers, was shut down during the early afternoon hours on account of a manhunt for an “armed & dangerous suspect.”

Tweets began pouring in from those near the action while the hunt was executed in and around the hotel.

Miami Beach Patch reports the alleged suspect’s name is Jasper Walker, and the hotel was placed on lockdown at roughly 1pm after Walker had fled from a stolen car and was considered by police to be a threat to those inside. Additionally, traffic around the area was also halted.

The search ended at 2:30pm with the suspect being apprehended, and no reports surfacing as of yet as to whether anyone inside the hotel was harmed.

We’ll be updating this story more as further information arises.
